Software development for Lisbon businesses

A Portuguese studio working with companies across the Lisbon region — same time zone, same language, and the local tax and regulatory context already understood.

A software partner in Portugal

Lusivision is a Portuguese studio, founded in Lisbon, building custom software, web applications and AI solutions. We work remotely by default, with clients in Portugal and abroad.

We do not have a public office and we do not receive visitors. We say that plainly because a great many local service pages imply a physical presence that does not exist — and because for most projects it makes no difference at all to the outcome.

What does make a difference is something else: sharing a time zone, a language and a legal context with the people who hire you. It is the difference between explaining what SAF-T is to an overseas supplier and working with someone who already knows.

What that actually changes

Same time zone, same language

A question raised at ten in the morning gets an answer before lunch, not the following day. It sounds like a detail until you have lived through the alternative on a project with deadlines.

Meetings, documentation and code can be in Portuguese or English, whichever suits your team. We also work in Spanish, French, Dutch and German for multilingual projects.

  • Replies within the same working day
  • Documentation in Portuguese where it helps
  • Meetings without a language barrier
  • A shared public holiday calendar

The region's business landscape

Lisbon holds an unusual mix: professional services, tourism and accommodation, private healthcare, retail, and a startup ecosystem whose technical needs look nothing like those of a thirty-year-old family business.

That variety matters because the right software differs for each. A field service company needs scheduling and job records; a clinic needs bookings and history; a startup needs to be able to change its mind quickly.

  • Professional services and consultancies
  • Tourism, accommodation and hospitality
  • Private healthcare and clinics
  • Startups and scaling companies

How we work with Lisbon clients

Remote by default, with video meetings and a single point of contact for the life of the project. Being in the same city helps when an in-person meeting genuinely adds something — usually at the start of a larger piece of work.

It is not a requirement. Most of our projects, including with Lisbon clients, run entirely at a distance.

  • Video meetings
  • One point of contact throughout
  • In-person meeting where it adds value
  • Regular releases for you to validate

Working with a Portuguese studio

An honest read on the advantages and the limits, compared with the alternatives.

It makes sense when

  • The project needs frequent contact and quick decisions
  • Portuguese legal or tax requirements are involved
  • Your team would rather work in Portuguese
  • You want someone accountable and reachable, not a resource pool
  • The project will keep evolving after launch

It may not be the best fit when

  • The absolute priority is the lowest possible price
  • You need a large team starting all at once
  • There is a genuine requirement for daily on-site presence
  • You are only looking for extra capacity for an existing in-house team

How we start

The same path for Lisbon clients and everyone else.

  1. 01

    First contact

A short conversation to understand the problem and whether we are the right people to solve it.

  2. 02

    Framing

We map the process and set out scope, priorities and a written estimate.

  3. 03

    Build

We deliver in increments, with regular releases for your team to validate.

  4. 04

    Support

After launch we keep the system current and build the next phases.

Platforms for scaling companies

Businesses that have outgrown what spreadsheets can carry and need a system that grows with them.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have an office in Lisbon?

We do not have a public office. Lusivision is a Portuguese studio, founded in Lisbon, that works remotely. We would rather say so plainly than imply an address that is not a place where we receive clients.

Can we meet in person?

For projects in the Lisbon region an in-person meeting at the start is possible where it adds value. It is not a requirement: most projects run entirely over video.

Do you only work with Lisbon companies?

No. We work with clients across Portugal and abroad, in six languages. This page exists because many companies look for a partner in their own region, and it is worth explaining what that changes — and what it does not.

Do you invoice in Portugal?

Yes. We are a Portuguese entity and invoice in Portugal, with the corresponding tax obligations.

Do you know Portuguese invoicing requirements?

Yes, as far as software is concerned: tax authority reporting, certified document series, SAF-T and integration with certified invoicing packages. We do not provide accounting or tax advice — we work alongside your accountant.
